New York: Jennings & Harrison, 1849., 1849.. Good. - Octavo, 9-1/4 inches high by 5-3/4 inches wide. Softcover, bound in printed light green warps. The edges of the covers are slightly darkened and creased with a small chip to the bottom edge of the front cover. There is a vertical crease down the center of the pamphlet. 23 pages. The pages are very slightly creased. Good.
An interesting address which begins with a summary of the protection offered by the patent laws of several countries and a passionate defense of that protection offered under the patent laws of the United States. He concludes with his ideas for improving the laws.
