Each volume has an Inked quotation from these "Adirondack Tales" signed by Murray on the otherwise blank leaf between the frontis and title-page. Some staining on first several pages in Volume 1 and along the top of the back cover and last couple of leaves in Volume II. No jackets. Laid in the first volume is a printed promotional letter for this set signed by F. M. Murray, Secretary of Adirondack Pub. Co. from the Murray Homestead in Guilford, CT, offering 150 sets of Adirondack Tales as an Author's Edition with "... a quotation written by him [the author] in his characteristic hand and signature in full...." This set appears to be one of these otherwise unidentified "Author's Edition" sets offered in our accompanying promotional letter at $2 per volume.
