About This Item
(London, Cassell, 1955). 8vo; green boards; pictorial dustwrapper; pp. 249 including index; black-and-white plates; name of previous owner on front free endpaper; scattered foxing. Good condition. "Alastair Scobie spends his time in the wilder parts of East Africa looking for trouble - principally wild-animal trouble. With a film camera and a gun he wanders over the long plains and steep passes of Northern Kenya, ankle deep in volcanic dust, or through gorilla and rhino tunnels, forced passages in the massed bamboo forests of the 'Mountains of the Moon' on the edge of the Congo. Wherever he goes he seeks sensation for entertainment of the millions who take their thrills vicariously through the medium of cinema or television." .

About Christison Rare Books, IOBA SABDA
Christison Rare Books operates as a mail order business, based in Port Elizabeth. We are members of IOBA and SABDA. Whereas we stock thousands of books on a wide variety of subjects, our focus has always been on SE Africa - its peoples, wildlife and history. The store is managed by Lindsay Christison. Although we do not run an open book shop, prospective customers who would like to examine items described in our on-line list of stock are welcome to make an appointment.
