NY: MacMillan, 1947. First Edition. Hardcover. FINE/very good. Sketches by Ken Chamberlain, 302pp. No names, no writing, blue spine title and decorative device on red cloth bright, clean, tight, no names, no writing, corners sharp, near very good with small area of rippling on the lower board.
Lomax spent his boyhood in Bosque County where men like Bob Hanna and Ed Nichols deepened his love for cowboy songs. He spent a year at Granbury College (selling his beloved pony for funds) he would go on to a Sheldon Fellow at Harvard University and track down music and muscians through-out the south recording them for the Library of Congress; most notably Huddie Ledbetter. A.C. Greene 50 BEST 47.
