New York: Limited Editions Club, 1947. Hardcover. Bookplate on the front pastedown. Rubbing to spine tips, neatly retouched with some wear to the heel of the spine of the first volume. Very Good in an about Fine slipcase. Honore Guilbeau. Two octavo volumes (6-3/4" x 9-1/4") bound in half black calf with gold stamping and rose paper sides printed in green with a design by W. A. Dwiggins who also designed and decorated the book. Preface by Sir Walter Scott. Copy #39 of 1500 illustrated with pencil drawings by Honore Guilbeau and SIGNED by the artist on the colophon page.
