Binding is worn with a few chips to spine. Else good plus. Light to moderate toning and foxing, mostly affecting margins and in no place affecting legibility. FIRST EDITIONS. The second number includes a FOLDING, HAND-COLORED MAP OF LIBERIA ("Map of the West Coast of Africa, from Sierra Leone to Cape Palmas: including the Colony of Liberia: Compiled Chiefly from the Surveys and Observations of the Late Rev'd. Text includes Henry Clay's address to the Colonization Society of Kentucky in Dec., 1829; numerous and lengthy reports on developments in Liberia; and correspondence from the various state societies.
