Sand-colored full cloth binding, decorated with four "hinges" stamped in silver and brown; title and author's name of gilt on top board and spine.This diminutive copy is solid, square, firm and bright with only some rather minor overall soiling/toning, a little darker on the spine.There is a little foxing (or glue residue) on the endpapers, otherwise the complete text is bright, clean and sharp. Page 23-24's corner has detached (now laid in) due to fold, text unaffected. Endearing story of life in the "hills" of Kentucky. This is a nice gift volume from the "Harpers Little Novels" series.. Gift Reprint. Decorative Cloth with Gilt. Very Good+/No Jacket. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.
