Album with 30 Carte-de-Visite portraits of celebrities (writers, painters, composers, artists, politicians): Abraham Lincoln, Alexandre Dumas père, Victor Hugo, Eugène Delacroix, Franz Liszt, Giuseppe Garibaldi, and others. Most are from Paris: Nadar, Carjat, Disdéri, Reutlinger, Petit, ca. 1860. In-8 (150 x 114 mm). Album of 15 sheets(leaves), each with two portraits. All edges gilted, clasps in brass. Beautiful album of CDV with the portraits of the following famous characters: Félix Nadar (portrait by himself, in a hot-air balloon); Gustave Doré (by Pierre Petit); Gustave Courbet (2, by Reutlinger and Legé); Gioacchino Rossini (by Erwin frères); Josef Meyerbeer (by Nadar); Victor Hugo (4, by Petit, Carjat, Badié and nameless one representing the writer and his grandchildren); Eugène Delacroix (by Carjat); Hector Berlioz (by Reutlinger); Jacques Offenbach (2, by Reutlinger and Nadar); Franz Liszt (by Reutlinger); Théophile Gautier (by Nadar); George Sand (2, by Nadar); Giuseppe Verdi (2, by Reutlinger and Thiébault); Giuseppe Garibaldi (2, of which one with Nélaton next to Garibaldi with a wound in the foot arisen on August 28th, 1862 to Aspromonte); Alexandre Dumas père (3, by Duron, Liebert, Nadar); Abraham Lincoln (by J.
