Xx], And Updated "7000" On P. 16, And A New List Of Four Publications On The Verso Of The Half-Title Page Ending With "Brief History Of A.A.'S First Two Decades" And The Al-Anon Address As "Box 182" On P. 575. On P. 60, Step 12 Includes Text "As A Result Of These Steps". This Example Has The Original Dj With Misleading Text "Third Edition New And Revised" On Spine, With Text On The Front Cover Reading "This Is The Third Edition Of The Big Book, New And Revised. The Basic Text For Alcoholics Anonymous", Text At Top Of Front Flap"Alcoholics Anonymous Third Edition 1959" . In The Original Dust Jacket, With Text At Bottom Of Front Flap Reading "Seven Case Histories, An Addition Of / (Continued On Back Flap)", And No Publication Code At Bottom Of Rear Flap, Which Has Address As New York City (17). A Very Clean, Tight, Almost Unworn And Unused Copy, Spine Has Very Bright Gilt Title On Unfaded Spine And Unworn Blindstamped Title On Front Cover; Pages Bright White, With About A Dozen Corners Neatly Folded Down About 3/4" At Upper Right Corner. Dust Jacket Is Entirely Unfaded, Bright, Immaculate, All Lettering On Spine And Cover Still Bright White, A Touch Of Wear Right At Corners With A Tiny Amount Of Paper Loss. With A Closed 1/4" Tear At Top Of Front Panel And Top And Bottom Of Rear Spine Fold, With Light Wear Right Along Top And Bottom Edges Of The Spine, And A Few Simple Check Marks In The Margins. The Second Edition Was A Major Revision Of The Original 1939 "Big Book", And This Third Issue, Apparently Issued In 1959, Is Scarce In Collectible Condition; Any Printings 1959-1960 Are Uncommon, And Near Fine Copies Of This Dj With Textual Errors Are Uncommon.
