Some rubbing and soiling to the covers, usual toning to the pages, slight spine slant, but overall a tight, straight and clean copy, and rather uncommon. . Early printing. The original Barse & Hopkins edition, not the Goldsmith reprint. A title in the Somewhere in War series, each featuring an 'ordinary girl' displaying heroism during the Great War - World War I. ""Wanting to do something to aid the war effort, an English girl goes to France to help in an army hospital." .llustrated by Chas [Charles] L.
