Original publisher’s binding of pictorial cloth on front cover and spine of Alpine view in blues, whites & browns, gilt lettering on spine, green cloth back cover (minor darkening to spine, some minor shelfwear, rubbing), still VG- copy. First edition in English of this copiously illustrated 19th-century geography, topography, and travel guide through the Alps, which is still often used as reference work on the famed mountain range.
