About This Item

London, United Kingdom: Harrap & Co. Ltd., 1941. Bound in the publishers colour illustrated paper covered boards with slate blue cloth to the spine. This is the scarce first printing of a rather uncommon Ameliaranne title. All pages are present and correct with no tears or missing pages and are tightly bound. Gift inscription to front endpaper remains discreet. Beautifully illustrated throughout by S.B. Pearse. The classic Ameliaranne books were unique in that they had several different authors throughout the series but always retained the same recognisable illustrator in S.B. Pearse. Double matching colour illustrated endpapers to front and rear of book. Clean and bright interior. Slight wear and signs of handling to the boards as usual but a nice and complete copy. . First Edition. Good+. Illus. by Susan B. Pearce. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. FIRST EDITION.
