Cover worn, front cover detached but present, contents age-toned, text is clean. Much information on the American people, their country, their government and their customs and habits, during the author's travels in the United States. On the front free endpaper is the bookplate of former owner Henry D. Gilpin, who served as Attorney General of the Unted States under President Van Buren. Howes B-252.
