Originally published in 1932, this third and final edition was published posthumously and includes tributes from Eugene O'Neill, Sherwood Anderson, Upton Sinclair, Carl Sandburg and Theodore Dreiser inside the front cover. Gorky's open letter to American intellectuals articulating his contempt for the bourgeoisie.
