Binding: Original gray wrappers with black titles, unopened pages. Some wear at extremities, 1 1/2" front edge of rear wrapper missing. Light browning at outer edge of wrappers. Interior is clean and tight, unopened.

Thick 8vo (24.4 x 16.1 cm). xvi, 524 pp.; Frontispiece photo with printed tissue-guard,167 plates (two in full colour), numerous text figures. Original printed wrappers. = Important, scarce contributions to the mammals of Central Africa, published in the Museum's Bulletin, volume 47. It includes many illustrations, and the descriptions of new and poorly known mammals - even some new subspecies of lion and panther. This volume contains the four first and perhaps rarest parts of the Expedition reports, which covers many groups, including molluscs, insects, birds, reptiles, etc. Uncut. Small chip to a tissue-guard, short tear in top margin of the title page, otherwise a very good, clean copy.
