Volumes 2 and 3 by Cassell Peter & Galpin, London, Paris and New York, undated. Set contains 103 chromolithographed plates. Illustrative notes and Life of Wilson by Sir William Jardine. A very good set. Books are surdily bound in matching green buckram cloth covers with gilt lettering on spines, likely early 20th century bindings. Scattered light foxing but overall text and color plates are clean and fine. Light marginal spotting to a couple of the plates but artwork is clean. Vol. 2 has penciled notes on blank page at end of book and a few penciled lines in margins. Books are square and tightly bound. Light rubbing to cover joints and edges but otherwise covers are very good. 5-1/2 x 9". Vol. 1: cv + 408 text pgs. Vol. 2: 495 text pgs. Vol. 3: 540 text pgs including 15-page general index. A heavy set requiring additional postage for Priority or International mailing.. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo.
