Overall a solid copy. ; xii, 374p. , illus. , charts, index. **With a facsimile copy of a letter to Charles Havens from Lt. Col. Calvin Goddard. The letter dated Feb. 16 1944, bears the letter head "War Department, office of the chief of ordnance". It offers a rather critical review of the book. Goddard is considered the father of forensic ballistics. The letter is from the files of Johnson automatics. It is in an envelope pasted inside the rear cover. Riling 2441. .
