Norwalk, Connecticut: Easton Press, 1964. Leather bound . BINDING/CONDITION: two matching volumes: red leather with gilt; three raised spine bands; all edges gilt, ribbon place marker; Near Fine condition. The second volume has the Easton Press book plate attached to the front paste-down endpaper, but no name has been filled in. Includes a few maps and other black and white illustrations. This is the two volume set, reprinting the 1933 book, Andrew Jackson: The Border Captain, and the 1937 Pulitzer Prize winning book, Andrew Jackson: Portrait of a President. This Easton set is not dated, (the 1964 date used here is the most recent date shown on either copyright page). This set ca. 1980s. This is part of the publisher's Library of the Presidents series. 8vo (about 9.5 inches tall) 461, 627 pages. Notes, bibliography, index (in each volume). Decorated endpapers.
