Louisville, Kentucky: Angeline Publishing Company, 1924 - 1929. Some first editions. Paperback. Very Good/No jacket. Nine volume boxed set with five publishers brochures. Written in the African-American and southern dialect of Kentucky, this series offers an amusing look at the world through the eyes of a witty and sharp observer of human nature. Brown illustrated wraps with black titles on front cover, two staple binding. Minimal edge wear, a little scuffing, leading edges rough cut with tiny tears in the leading edge of one front cover, interior pages yellow but that may have been the original color, a little spotting of some brochures, original box is a little dirty inside with some large chips in paper cover and stains.
