Oliver and Boyd, 1962-01-01. Hardcover. Good/Acceptable. Oliver and Boyd, 1962. Hard cover. First English Edition. Translated from the French "La Foret et Ses Betes." Illustrated by Romain Simon. Includes 22 questions at the back with hints to the 22 different varieties of flowers illustrated throughout the book. Beautiful decorated endpapers with illustrations of 16 different types of leaves identified in the Glossary at the back. In good condition with an acceptable dust jacket. Large cream illustrated covers have light bumping, scuffing and age spotting to edges and corners. Binding tight. Pages are lightly aged but otherwise unmarked. Dust jacket has several moderate to large chips and tears, including a 4" closed tear at the top of the front cover, a 3" tear at the bottom of the front cover with about 1/2" missing, a 1" chip at the top near the spine, and a 1" chip on the back along the top edge. Now in an archival quality Brodart cover. Dust jacket is also clipped at the bottom edge of the front flap. Beautiful illustrations throughout by Romain Simon. NOT Ex-Library. No remainder marks.
