About This Item

New York, New York, U.S.A.: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1981. 198 pages. First edition with "1" heading number line. Lightly circulated ex-library, vg or better, with tight binding and bright pages. Blue-green hardcover with title and design blocked in black; moderate tapestains to boards. Very minimal library markings limited to discreet inkstamps to edges and prelims, minor rippling at former site of pocket, very minor roughness to ffep and a minuscule nick to edge of ffep. Dust jacket is clean, bright, and attractive in new mylar; unlabelled spine; tape mark to reverse side (no show-through) and crease to back flap are only defects. A terrific looking copy of a gripping book. "Anna Zimmerman Hart thinks she is losing her mind. She is intelligent, talented, and her future is an important scientist is practically assured. But suddenly she is haunted..." by strange memories, and she begins to see people who look exactly like her. Her investigations reveal that she is the victim of an evil master plan -- she is a clone, with the memories of the original Anna, and will be allowed to remain alive only as long as she is of use to her creators.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Near Fine. Illus. by Jacqueline Schuman (dj art). 5.75 x 8.5 in. (14.5cm x 21.5cm). Ex-Library.
