No other titles listed ahead of title page and no ads at back. viii, 5-773 pages with 14 illustrations. Two title pages, first with engraved portrait and tissue-guarded frontis illustration. A Very Good copy, front hinge cracked but holding nicely, spine faded yet legible, light wear to cloth at the tips, prior owner name and date front end page, occasional toning. Basis for 15 film versions from 1911-2012, and 6 TV versions, as well as operas, ballets, and musical theatres. . Seond American Edition . Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket, As Issued. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
