Beginning with "Gesta Romanorum" in 1475, through Virginia Woolf's "Mrs. Dalloway" in 1925. Each entry with very brief information about the author and the work. Each year is labeled with the name of the reigning British monarch at the time, as well as key events during that year. No author or editor name is mentioned. Indexed. --- In full navy cloth-covered boards with gilt-stamped spine titling. Volume lacks the dust jacket. --- With penciled and inked notations to front endpapers and within the volume on perhaps as many as 15 pages; and with age-toning to leaves; else a tightly-bound, sound copy.; 12mo - 7 to 7-1/2 in. tall; vi, 340 pages .
