Rare combination of two Books of Anne Frank. First book: 'Weet je nog? Verhalen en Sprookjes'. FIRST EDITION, FIRST PRINTING. Text in Dutch 1949; Contact Amsterdam. Octavo. Original pictoral boards and spine. With the original dust jacket slightly faded. Drawings (4 pages) and illustrations by Kees Kelfkens. There is a fold in the front-board (see photo's). No inscriptions.
Second book: 'Contes d'Anne Frank'. FIRST EDITION, FIRST PRINTING. Text in French 1959; Calman-Lévy Paris. Translation from Dutch into French by Nelly Weinstein. Tall octavo. Original tanned white wrappers, Ilustrations and six plates made by Dominique Rolin. Pages tanned. No inscriptions.
Anne Frank has written this book 'Weet je nog?/Contes' of 8 short stories during her time of hiding in 'Het Achterhuis / The Secret Annex' with her family in Amsterdam from 1943. This book was published two years after the publication of her diary 'Het Achterhuis' in 1947.
