Gilt lettering on the spine and front board. Eight illustrations including frontis by M.A. And W.A.J. Claus. Illustration of women in profile tipped onto front board. Corners have some minor bumping. A touch of minor professional restoration at the top and bottom of the spine. Foredge and bottom edge untrimmed. Text very clean with almost no staining or foxing present. Front paste down illustration has a bit of uneven fading but is far superior to most copies. Boards a bit soiled but overall a far superior copy. Housed in a fold over morocco backed box. very good Rare in any condition the book quickly went into reprints with eventually seven more titles about the young red-haired Anne who comes into the life of an elderly couple on Prince Edward island.
