Still the standard reference covering the early period of discovery to travelers' original accounts, flora and fauna, science, geology, preservation, maps and pictures. It has a comprehensive listing of hundreds of books, including even books just mentioning Niagara, with extracts from the books and descriptive information. Since this was a cross-road area and a great attraction, most travellers in general area made it a point to visit, making this an excellent and comprehensive reference source.
