Titled and decorated in gilt to spine and front board, minor marginal sunning to cloth and some light bumping to extremities, strong and vibrant, in a clean, sharp example of the pictorial dustjacket with some light marginal wear and chipping, most notably to spine ends, and a small pinhole of loss to the rear panel. 395pp. A solid, handsome copy with all maps and plates present. With an additional foreword by Colonel T.E. Lawrence. A detailed and expansive account of the author's journey through one of the last blank sections of the world map, and the peoples he encountered there.
