With a Preface by General Sir Hugh Elles and a Foreword by Bramwell Hudson. Blue cloth-covered boards, gilt titles to spine, decorative dustjacket, 244 pages, and with thirty-four illustrations- photographs of Civil Defence activities and personnel, and also cartoons etc. Condition notes: Dust jacket torn, with some loss (now protected with transparent wrapper). Boards rubbed along edges, some age toning to paper.
