Pages are clean, unmarked, bright, tightly bound and sharp cornered. Board and spine corners are slightly rubbed. Scarce, Out Of Print, Book. The novel inspired a film of the same name directed in 1926 by Rex Ingram. "Set in Bohemian Paris at the turn of the 20th century, this sinister novel was inspired by the notorious black magician, Aleister Crowley, and portrays Parisian cafe society." .

Now issued in hardcover with an additional bonus of two reproduction lobby cards at the rear of the book, each of which has been hand-signed by John Russo (who also acted in the movie). Although the signature sheet is numbered 784/1000 this book is actually only one of 80 such copies. Minor bumping to the covers but As New condition, an unread copy.
