About This Item
New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1928. Black boards, 296 numbered, deckled pages. Slightly cocked, surface rubbed, circular smudge (1/8 inch) on front, rubbed and faded along edges, gilt title on spine faded, page outlining the book's contents glued to front pastedown, previous owner's name and address in pencil on ffep, pages darkened but clean, cracked at page 215 and rear pastedown, but binding firm. Overall, good. Letter on "The Smart Set" letterhead and dated April 3, 1923 to a fellow editor (Canada) laid in. Letter has fold lines and three small worn spots - please refer to photographs.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/No DJ. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
