Pages and plates are lightly tanned and foxed throughout. Pen underlining and marginalia to pages. Cracking to hinges with exposed binding. Binding is slightly shaky. Boards have mild edge wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Leather peeling to spine, with noticeable scuffing and scratches overall.

New York: D. Appleton and Company, 1886. Hardcover. Very Good. Gilt stamped brown cloth boards, octavo, 269pp., illustrated in b&w. Book has wear to spine ends and corners, rubbing to joints and slight darkening of spine, binding tight, small ink mark to front endpaper, otherwise text clean and unmarked, with toning throughout. No DJ.
