Good reading copy. ; B&W Illustrations; 48 pages; A short but highly informative book, covering the baton and it's handling, beating time in a number of time signatures, starting and stopping, the use of the non baton hand, how at stand correctly, placing the orchestra, programme planning, interpretation and lots more. Sadly the author died soon after the publication of this book when the SS Ceramic aboard which he was travelling to Australia was torpedoed by U-515. .
