Among the five fine Arthurian essays is one on the Arthuriad of Charles Williams, 'From Logres to Carbonek' and two on the little known "Vera Historia de Morte Arthuri" One the actual text with translation. Besides the exciting account of Arthur's battle with Modred is the position of Avalon being in Gwynedd and an account of Welsh spear warfare and the use of shappened elm as spears capable of penetrating chainmail and how Morderd dipped in adder's blood! Great stuff. This was the first volume in this brilliant series and is fine collectible condition. Since 1977 Three Geese In Flight wraps our Arthurian and Celtic books first in brown paper before shipping.
