London: The Zoological Society of London, 1971. . 1st edn. Cr. 4to pp. 351-395. Stapled self wrappers, figs 1-17 (Inc. 1 map), tables I-VIII, appendices I-V. VG. (A tuna longline survey of billfish was carried out in the equatorial western Indian Ocean during 1964-67, in which 265 specimens of five species (Istiophorus platypterus, Tetrapterus audax, Tetrapterus angustirostris, Makaira indica and Makaira nigricans) were caught. The comparative morphometric evidence obtained is used in confirming the conspecificity of these istiophorids with Pacific Indian Ocean forms. (Reprinted from J. Zool., Lond., Vol. 163). .
