Washington, D.C.: O.H. Oldroyd, 1901. FIRST EDITION. Fine steel engraved frontispiece of Lincoln bound in, numerous plates and text illustrations. Half green morocco and marbled boards, title in gilt to spine. Some light wear to spine and extremities. First edition, number 227 of 250 copies signed by the author. Laid in is an ALS from the author to an Admiral Stephens dated 1891 on letterhead of the Lincoln residence. Monaghan 1356.
