Attached is the official printed order to Samuel Pelcer, the collector of Monroe, for tax collection based on the assessment roll, with directions for the distribution of the collected money to the town superintendent of schools, the commissioners of highways, the town supervisor, and the county treasurer; signed by 15 men on 22 Nov. 1845. Contains the assessment of real and personal property of approximately 350 residents of the town of Monroe, Orange Co., N.Y. Lacking original front board and most leather over spine; otherwise, in Very Good Condition: text block split; manuscript text is complete; pages lightly soiled; printed order is intact and clean.
