The original publisher went broke in 1933 while the magazine was being edited by Harry Bates. Street and Smith took over then, with F. Orlin Tremaine at the helm. At that point, the magazine had some major success. In 1937, John W. Campbell took over as editor. And some of the greatest sf writers ever were being published there: Isaac Asimov; A E. van Vogt; Robert A. Heinlein... the list goes on like a Who's Who of early Science Fiction. Campbell had never been fond of the magazine's name, but it wasn't until 1960 that he changed the title to Analog Science Fiction & Fact; he had long wanted to get rid of the word Astounding in the title, which he felt was too sensational. At about the same time Conde Nast took over the magazine. Campbell remained as editor until his death in 1971. And the magazine is still going strong today.. First Edition. Soft cover. Very Good.
