Blue cloth with purple titling to light blue background and light blue illustration to upper board; pictorial maps to end papers; b&w and color illustrations, appendix, bibliography, index. The author, a seismologist and geophysicist, uses scientific and archaeological evidence to demonstrate that Atlantis could not have existed in the Atlantic, and that in all likelyhood it is a mythologised version of a Minoan civilization in the Aegean, that was wiped out by a catastrophic volcanic explosion. Dust jacket with minor edge wear. ; 8vo ; 216 pp pages .
