Edinburgh & London: William Blackwood. 1883. Hardcover. Second printing, same year as first. Two volumes, octavo, original red cloth, covers stamped in black, spines in gilt, dark brown endpapers. pp (xiv), (260); (4), (228), 4, ads, 24, publisher's catalogue. Engraved frontispiece portrait with tissue guard in first volume. Books a little leaned; spines have sunning and wear to ends, with gilt lettering a little dulled;, bit of sunning to inner margin of rear covers; two ink names at front of Vol. I; cracked inner hinges neatly repaired; Vol. II lacks the front free endpaper; yellowing to page edges; in all a good, clean pair, now tight in the bindings. Posthumously published (Trollope died 06 Dec., 1872), with a Preface by his son Henry. Note: 1.5 kg parcel, extra postage may be required. .

After 30 years of keeping shop in downtown Toronto, we have now become a home-based business. Visitors by appointment only. We specialize in literary books, particularly Canadian literary books (we have handled more out of print and rare Canadian literary books than anyone else in history). We also have select out of print, scarce, and rare books in a variety of subject areas. We were founded in 1974. We do appraisals for a fee and welcome wants lists.
