Hardcover. Poor, binding failing at first blank page/frontispiece. Period signature in pencil of "Francis Seiberling Xmas 94" verso of frontispiece (perhaps the Akron, Ohio congressman). "Reprinted from the Atlantic Monthly, as it appeared from Nov., 1857 to May, 1858" (title page). Dark green cloth stamped in gilt with beveled edges, moderate use and wear, top edge gilt, moderate to much tanning to text. The Autocrat of the Breakfast Table, 183 pages, followed by Poems, 252 pages. New York: Hurst & Company, no date (publisher active circa 1871-1919). Reprint. Poor, as is.
