Victoria Road, Kensington, 28 January 1850. 3 pp. 7 x 4½ inches, fine. Thomas Uwins (1782-1857), painter. In 1847 he became keeper of the National Gallery. His son is no way behind him in gentleness and benevolence, with a touch of young England sitting gracefully about him - Every age has its distinct character - I have lived till every thing around me seems new.
