Boston: Union Club of Boston, 20 Oct. 4 pp. 12mo. Fine. 4 pp. 12mo. BLUE TILE. The letter reads in part:
"I have cold 50 Seventeenth Century & 50 18th-century blue tile to Charles Coolidge ( of Shepley, Rutan and Coolidge who built the first Castle Hill, Richard T. Crane's House) for the Crane House at Ipswich ($65) and 12 dozen 18th century blue to R.H. Dana for $72.
I have two more customers on the string besides Miss Amy Lowell who wanted more of the 17th Century.
It is best to have the City of Cambridge lay sidewalk & street curb...E.M.W."
