Thames Villa, Tuesday, undated. A good one page example, 7 x 4½ inches. William Francis Ainsworth (1807-96), geologist, surgeon and Eastern traveller, was an original Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, and published various works, including Observations on the Pestilential Cholera (1832), Travels in Asia Minor (1842) and The River Karun, an Opening to British Commerce (1890).
