About This Item
Mark Van Dorenís brilliant but lesser-known brother won a Pulitzer prize in 1938 for his biography "Benjamin Franklin." ALS, 1p, 5½" X 8½", New York, NY, 1931 January 7. Addressed to Mr. Trevillian. Near fine. In part: "Thank you for your agreeable words about my Swift, which is my favorite among my books too...." Viking Press published Van Doren's "Swift" in 1930.
