32 Addison Road, 13 March 1909. 3½ x 4½ inches, light corner crease, in good condition. It is very good. I remember that meeting with great pleasure. Lady Frances Balfour (1858-1931) was one of the highest-ranking members of the British aristocracy to assume a leadership role in the women's suffrage movement. From 1896 to 1914, she was the president of the National Society for Women's Suffrage. A non-violent suffragist, she was opposed to the militant actions of the Women's Social and Political Union.
