Autographed Letter Signed about childbirth on personal letterhead

Buffalo, NY, 1923. unbound. 1 page, 7.25 x 8.5 inches, Buffalo, New York, January 24, 1923, writing to one of his disciples about Internal Podalic Version, in full: "Your letter just arrived and I will answer it now just to be sure how glad I was to hear from you. I was also glad to hear that you are doing well. The OB work will come, it may be a little slow at first, but remember that the general work makes a good foundation. A man during general work makes friends who later can be used in the special times. Take your time & do not hurry, you will do Versions in time I am sure. Come & see me at anytime. Dr. Reynolds is still handling the Chloroform & will be glad to hear from you that everything is O.K." Also included is an original prescription written by Dr. Potter on his personal script pad for a Ziegler Cord Clamp, used to tie the umbilical cord during childbirth. The letter has natural folds and slight discoloration and creasing on the left side; still in very good condition.
