Boards now protected by a new Brodart Archival Mylar Cover. Boards are dark red/maroon with embossed gilt lettering on the front and spine. Boards and pages are clean, unmarked (except for prior owner's name, address and date, Ralph Jordan - 1914, on front flyleaf), bright, tightly bound and sharp cornered. Illustrations include tissue-protected frontispiece and seven additional full-page illustrations by Maurice Greiffenhagen. This is the second book in the Ayesha series, originally serialized in the Windsor Magazine in 1904-1905. "Guided by a vision, an Englishman and his companion search the mountains of Asia for the reincarnation of an ancient Egyptian priestess." Scarce, Out Of Print, Book. : B&W Illustrations .
