(Subject: Aviation - General) The Boeing B-29 Superfortress was the primary bomber used by the USAAF in the firebombing campaign against Japan in the final months of World War Two. Famously, it carried out the atomic attacks that destroyed Hiroshima and Nagasaki and also served in large numbers in the Korean War. The B-29 remained in service with the USAF throughout the 1950s, as well as with the Royal Air Force who named it the 'Washington'. The Soviet Union produced an unlicensed copy, the Tupolev Tu-4 'Bull'.
