Cover: tan cloth, 3 Gilbert illustrations in red/black + red/black titles front, black titles spine, Pear's soap ad to back; moderate shelfwear, extrems well worn, spine titles rubbed, but still legible, dampstain to front b.e. 34 of the famous Bab Ballads, w/ many wonderful and weird illustrations by Gilbert, crease and bump tot back. This appears to be a popular copy-it is not elegantly bound. While undated, all poems are 1868 or earlier.
