About This Item

Paris: Harrison of Paris, 1930. 8vo (22 x 17.5cm). 46 pages. Original unbound sheets. One of 375 signed and numbered copies printed on Pannekoek Holland of an edition of 394 (this is no. 16). The author's copy, unbound and in a manila envelope with Westcott's manuscript notes, giving Monroe Wheeler's initials at top "M.W." and three notes: "The Babe's Bed, unbound sheets * to be assigned to a binder or a box-maker." The two other notes read "Call M.W. to the deep shaming(?) of Scotch tape" and "Herein are the blank back and front pages, to be placed with the pages of text when I get it back from the off-set man." This was the third publication of Harrison of Paris, the press run by Wheeler and Barbara Harrison. Of the thirteen books issued by the press, two were by Westcott, Wheeler's partner from 1919 until 1987.
